Whenever you see what #ICE is doing in front of cameras, you must imagine what they're doing where nobody can see them--like in the concentration camps the USA is building. It's easy to read those words and much harder to fathom what they mean; that this is happening in our day and age, in what until recently was believed to be a first world country. "Abolish ICE" doesn't go nearly far enough in my view.

U.S. immigration authorities are using smartphone facial recognition technology in the field to determine whether people are citizens, @404mediaco reports. Officers use an app called Mobile Fortify, which has a bank of 200M images and data from the State Department, CBP, FBI, and states as well as datasets relating to “individuals, vehicles, airplanes, vessels, addresses, phone numbers and firearms,” according to a memo viewed by 404's @josephcox. Ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee Bennie G. Thompson said in a statement: “ICE officials have told us that an apparent biometric match by Mobile Fortify is a ‘definitive’ determination of a person’s status and that an ICE officer may ignore evidence of American citizenship — including a birth certificate — if the app says the person is an alien.

Tear gas — currently being deployed in Minneapolis — can cause long-term health consequences by making people more susceptible to contracting respiratory illnesses.
The chemical agent can also hurt people inside their homes if it seeps into residential neighborhoods.

You can say "I am not opening my door or window for you. I know my rights. Who are you? Police? Highway patrol? Immigration? Show me your ID. Am I free to go?
1) You do not have permission to search me or my car or any of my passengers.
2) I choose to remain silent.
3) I want to speak to an attorney.
4) Show me a signed judicial warrant.
We keep us safe.
If you or someone you know in Minnesota has had an encounter with federal agents, the State Attorney General wants to know about any issues or violations of your rights that took place.
These reports will help in future prosecutions of ICE and other persons involved in the violation of anyone's constitutional rights via police state violence or intimidation.
