<p>For those who want to use <a href="/tags/hollo/" rel="tag">#Hollo</a> on <span class="h-card"><a href="https://tapbots.social/@ivory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>ivory</span></a></span>: <a href="/tags/ivory/" rel="tag">#Ivory</a> evolved from the <a href="https://tapbots.com/tweetbot/" rel="nofollow">Tweetbot</a> codebase, which was a third-party Twitter client, so it assumes that object IDs are integers. Hollo uses <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universally_unique_identifier" rel="nofollow">UUIDs</a> for object IDs, so it can&#x27;t be used with Ivory at this time. We hope that Ivory will support non-integer object IDs in the future!</p>

I’m attempting to troubleshoot <a href="/tags/ivory/" rel="tag">#Ivory</a> when used with <a href="/tags/snac2/" rel="tag">#snac2</a> where the app crashes when attempting to load in certain bits of data (seems like some hashtags perhaps, or the data the hashtags lead to). Ivory logs a crash mentioning something about “serverFilters” or “imageIndex”. Like when I try to view the StarTrek tag something it tries to pull in crashes the app hard.<br><br>Now I’m just trying to find a specific post that will do it so maybe I can actually figure out what exactly is going wrong.<br>

I finally got <a href="/tags/snac2/" rel="tag">#snac2</a> working with <a href="/tags/ivory/" rel="tag">#Ivory</a> and my this particular account. It’s strange, I think I’ve narrowed the crash down to an issue with the way ActivityPub relays work in snac2. If there is a single boosted post in my timeline when Ivory pulls the data, it crashes instantly.<br>

<p>RE: <a href="https://twit.social/@sezduck/111553219789206050" rel="nofollow" class="ellipsis" title="twit.social/@sezduck/111553219789206050"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">twit.social/@sezduck/111553219</span><span class="invisible">789206050</span></a></p><p>This bug that I reported to <span class="h-card"><a href="https://tapbots.social/@ivory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>ivory</span></a></span> over 2 years ago still has not been fixed. 🙁</p><p>Native Mastodon filters that I have setup are ignored when viewing my custom lists in the <a href="/tags/ivory/" rel="tag">#Ivory</a> app. </p><p>Today, I again confirmed this behavior in Ivory is different than in the web app and other client apps (i.e. confirmed that it is a bug specific to the Ivory app… that I reported 2+ years ago).</p>

<p>I’m curious if the quote boost mechanism in <a href="/tags/ivory/" rel="tag">#ivory</a> is a custom implementation before the official functionality was added? Been avoiding using it not knowing how it behaved relative to the official rollout in recent months at the protocol level. <span class="h-card"><a href="https://tapbots.social/@ivory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>ivory</span></a></span></p>

<p>There&#x27;s something weird happening with either <a href="/tags/ivory/" rel="tag">#Ivory</a> or <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a>, where some posts show up as deleted when you view their details. Maybe a coincidence, but it&#x27;s been happening _a lot_ today.</p>
