Wie viele in meinem Alter bin ich mit #LEGO-Bausteinen aufgewachsen und verbrachte endlose Stunden mit dem Ausdenken und Bauen von irgendwelchen Kreationen. Dann kam der erste eigene Computer und läutete die dunklen Jahre ein, die erst wieder mit den eigenen Kindern beendet wurden.
Aber irgendetwas hatte sich geändert. Lange dachte ich, das wäre ich selbst gewesen.
Wenn ich mir allerdings diese Werbung aus den frühen 1980ern ansehe weiß ich, dass das nicht stimmt.

Hi, I am Søren (the "ø" is pronounced like the "ea" in "Earth"), a guy from Denmark. I am trying out the #fediverse to see what it is all about and support it with a bit of content.
I post about #Lego and #EuropeanAlternatives (and #DanmarkSkifter in Danish), but as a person who goes through hobbies like people go through.. stuff they change often.. that is bound to change down the road. In tha last year I have been around sewing, macramé, 3d printing, and a few others.
I was inspired to make another #Micropolis build last night. More social housing, I think. Conifer Court has some pleasant grounds and even a little fountain!

Did you know that Lego makes special kits for use in hospitals, for building models of MRI machines and radiotherapy suites, so that medics can use them to help explain scanning and treatment to children? Making the treatment process less frightening, especially if they're going to have to be in rooms with big scary machines. I saw one at the Science Museum back in May.
