I enjoy looking over #MagicInTheMundane toots. I like that, without exception, they all have descriptions in the #AltText providing understanding and context. Thank you.

On Exoplanet 09774 these seeds have gained the name of Walking Apples. Plants don’t walk, (well, except for Triffids) but these ones do, sort of. Once dropped from the branch, the ‘legs’ move the seed along the soil upwards of 10 meters. There are no birds to spread the seed on this planet, which is probably why they walk. The seeds mostly trundle along at night, although we don’t know why at night, or how they know it’s night, although the nights do normally last 37 earth hours.

#scifi #exoplanet #seed #nature #photography #magicinthemundane

Behold the iridescent splendour of what a kind witchy elderly neighbour lady bestowed upon me today! It's so shiny!

Her long departed love gifted this to her, in a place she can't remember, and a year she can't recall, but with a smile, she'll never forget. She wanted it to join my collection, so it would not be lost.

I never buy shells, especially not these, since the Abalone population is really struggling, but I will adopt this memory.

#seashells #magicinthemundane #nature #witch

Close-up photography with manual focus allows for artistic use of de-focusing, and a combination of telephoto and wide aperture can lead to some cool bokeh effects. With golden hour light coming though pine needles, that resulted in some interesting textures and compositions emerging.

2025/09/06, with XF80mmF2.8 lens.

#TextureTuesday #Photography #MagicInTheMundane
