der blick geht streifend über eine mit efeu bewachsene fläche. aus irgendeinem grund liegen die efeublätter nicht flach, sondern haben sich alle aufgestellt, uns zu gewandt. hmm, ja, das war richtung süden, da kommt das meiste licht her. grund gefunden, rätsel gelöst. jedenfalls, fast alle efeublätter sind von einem kranz von raureif-frostkristallen umgeben, nur am rand. das weiße glitzern der kristalle kontrastiert schön mit dem dunkelgrün des efeus, seine gelben blattadern und roten stängel setzen weitere akzente

On Exoplanet 09774 these seeds have gained the name of Walking Apples. Plants don’t walk, (well, except for Triffids) but these ones do, sort of. Once dropped from the branch, the ‘legs’ move the seed along the soil upwards of 10 meters. There are no birds to spread the seed on this planet, which is probably why they walk. The seeds mostly trundle along at night, although we don’t know why at night, or how they know it’s night, although the nights do normally last 37 earth hours.<a href="/tags/scifi/" rel="tag">#scifi</a> <a href="/tags/exoplanet/" rel="tag">#exoplanet</a> <a href="/tags/seed/" rel="tag">#seed</a> <a href="/tags/nature/" rel="tag">#nature</a> <a href="/tags/photography/" rel="tag">#photography</a> <a href="/tags/magicinthemundane/" rel="tag">#magicinthemundane</a>

Sitting nestled in the leaves of a green bush there is a round green ball, that looks like a small apple in this photo. Hanging down from this seed/flower thing are tendrils. They look like octopus arms with tiny green hairs and dangle down like from a jelly fish. They look like they could be legs for walking. But only on a different planet. Maybe.

Behold the iridescent splendour of what a kind witchy elderly neighbour lady bestowed upon me today! It's so shiny! Her long departed love gifted this to her, in a place she can't remember, and a year she can't recall, but with a smile, she'll never forget.
