We run glitch-soc, which gives you longer posts, markdown formating, and plenty of other fun stuff!</p><p>PeerTube</p><p>The second (and fastest growing!) service we offer is <a href="https://tube.fediverse.games" rel="nofollow">PeerTube</a>. Our PeerTube allows import from your YouTube channel and 50GB of free video hosting!</p><p>WriteFreely</p><p>We&#x27;ve recently added <a href="https://write.fediverse.games" rel="nofollow">WriteFreely</a> to our services! It isn&#x27;t a perfect service, but it&#x27;s the best option of those available and we think it&#x27;s a great addition, and we hope the long-form games writing community will grow with our contribution to it.</p><p>The Rules</p><p>We wish to run a friendly, kind and inclusive server, and do not have any tolerance for discrimination or bigotry of any kind, including but not limited to racism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia. It can be hard enough for people to be their true selves offline, let&#x27;s not make it harder online too.</p><p>We also have no tolerance for the promotion or nazi, alt-right and ultra-conservative ideologies.</p><p>In the pursuit of accessibility, we ask users to add alt-text to their images where they&#x27;re apply to for the advantage of those using screen readers to interact with us. <p>I am creating a <a href="/tags/activitypub/" rel="tag">#ActivityPub</a> minimalistic implementation of a badge system similar to Credly, built using <a href="/tags/dotnet/" rel="tag">#dotnet</a> and leveraging the <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a> </p><p>I have issued a first badge, the idea is to decentralize the verification systems, and allow organizations to self-certify. It is incredible that organizations like Microsoft or Non-Profits pay thousands of dollars to companies like Pearson to just provide &quot;verified&quot; badges. Similar to mastodons installed in social-dot-something, thinkg of badges&lt;dot&gt; mozilla&lt;dot&gt;com , certifications&lt;dot&gt;myschooldistrict&lt;dot&gt;com. Or even a podcast emitting a badge for its guests, with the verification in the domain.</p><p>ActivityPub already offers a secure way to sign artifacts and interact between actors. The fediverse already have people with profiles, a social graph as <span class="h-card"><a href="https://flipboard.social/@mike" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>mike</span></a></span> says, ready to use.
