<p>Hello World from my homelab! This is Leo, a 20-year-old from Bangladesh. <p>Quote posting is here. It’s the interaction controls that are of interest to me! I wonder what clients have updated for this yet? I&#x27;ve only had this account on the fediverse/mastodon for 3 years, yet I&#x27;ve had more weird hate than at any other time I&#x27;ve been online except possibly USENET in the 1990s and Twitter in the 2010s when I was tweeting favorably about Occupy. People here have suggested I&#x27;m lying more times than I remember. I mean dang, it&#x27;s fine to disagree with someone but you don&#x27;t need to besmirch their character. If this were the 18th century we&#x27;d be dueling.<br><br>I tend to speak my mind because I&#x27;m of the opinion that the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abilene_paradox" rel="nofollow">Abilene paradox</a> should not be a lifestyle, and that&#x27;s gotten me some IRL hate over the years. But given what I&#x27;ve experienced here and how I&#x27;ve seen others treated, I&#x27;d say Mastodon really is something special in this regard.<br><br><a href="/tags/online/" rel="tag">#online</a> <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#mastodon</a> <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#fediverse</a><br>

<p>What I do love about <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a> and the greater <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a>, by the way, are the personalities. There *is* a culture here. </p><p>Other microblogging sites have a sort of algorithmic supremacy going on where you trade personality for a ticket to the internet celebrity lottery. No individualism. You pick your niche from a set deck and you play the FYP slots. </p><p>Meanwhile, everyday I run into someone who&#x27;s like &quot;hey I&#x27;m star-cake. I&#x27;m a queer carrot farmer. I collect Soviet-era camera lenses.&quot; Amazing.</p>

<p>Is there a way of filtering out languages on <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a>? At least from my Home feed? <p><a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a> would be awesome if it had a personal algorithmic feed that I could program and define myself, suggesting exactly the posts I want to read. This chronological stuff makes so much get lost, and it really keeps me from using Mastodon more.</p>

<p><a href="/tags/snac/" rel="tag">#snac</a> is a pretty cool <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#fediverse</a> <a href="/tags/activitypub/" rel="tag">#activitypub</a> server software!</p><p>Super lightweight, no database, easy to set-up. </p><p>I will not replace my main <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#mastodon</a> instance with it, but i really have some other use cases for it, for example some bots or so. </p><p>And from what I saw, the code also is pretty nice to learn things from it.
