i actually got pretty emotional when he said beep beepoverall this was just pretty fun
Rated A View to a Kill 8/10
Unexpectedly enjoyable given Moore’s obvious age, but making a lady a quiche then calling it an omelette has to be the least Bond thing ever
Rated Wall Street 8/10
As subtle as a sledgehammer and yet capitalism still exists. Sad. Martin Sheen is incredible, Charlie as good as he’s ever been, Stone can’t keep a camera still for five seconds, and Gecko remains one of the most nauseatingly watchable characters of all time.
Rated My Own Private Idaho 8/10
Obviously River is the one who takes the deserved plaudits for his performance, but anyone who says Keane can’t act should be forced to watch him in this.
Rated Alien 9/10
In space everyone can see you sweat.Happy Labor Day(Director's Cut - I think the original theatrical version works better for me)
Rated The Princess Diaries 7/10
Went into this thinking I’d never seen it before. Turns out I’ve done a podcast about it. Is this early onset dementia?
Rated Rental Family 5/10
It could’ve been so much more profound. Instead, it chose to swing from cheesy to surprisingly forgiving of prostitution, but I guess that’s mostly westerners in Asia

Rated The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover 8/10
First time watching this since I decided to be a smart arse when doing Auteur Theory in A-Level Film Studies by picking Peter Greenaway instead of someone stylistically obvious like Tarantino or Burton. No fucking idea what a 17-year-old me wrote about between this, The Baby of Macon, and 8 1/2 Women.22 or so years later — still a gruesome take on humanity through the juvenile replication of Baroque paintings. Beauty smeared in dog shit. Maddening yet so utterly engrossing.
