Overall kind of disappointing because it has great visuals and animation but it deliberately misses the point of what makes the original iconic and they simplified the plot to the point of there not even a message. Also there is a character that dies and I laughed because he was the most useless character and we were expected to be sad for him 😂

Rated The Talented Mr. Ripley 6/10
I don't think I was prepared for as much of a psychological thriller film as this was! Damon's acting was unnervingly good and I thought it was definitely unpredictable for me in the many fantastic twists and turns of the plot (though much of the credit for that are likely following from the original book). Some elements of the editing, like the transitions, seemed surprisingly low-tech and almost to the point of bad-its-corny level.

Hadn’t seen this in a while, had forgotten how incredible it was. Obviously Denzel is at the top of his game but Ethan Hawke is the secret weapon. The nervous energy in his scene in the diner is incredible.
