Tarantino films are usually hit or miss for me. Inglorious Bastards is an absolute hit and likely my favorite of his, just barely edging out Pulp Fiction. The writing and acting in this movie are just top-tier. For a war movie, there aren’t too many action scenes, but the way it’s written, there’s just so much tension and suspense throughout the whole film. It’s pretty incredible how he can do that. Definitely recommend this one.

It puts the "detective" in Detective Comics and "dark" in the Dark Knight.Enjoyed this one more with a second viewing. And especially liked the cinematography and as well as most of the acting:Jeffrey Wright as GordonColin Farrell as PenguinPaul Dano as RiddlerJohn Turturro as FalconeZoë Kravitz as SelinaAndy Serkis as Alfredand even Robert Pattinson as Batman, but much less so as Bruce Wayne (thankfully, the movies gives us about 80% Batman/20% Bruce Wayne)All in all, it's a little on the slow side for me, but I appreciate the mystery solving and action sequences.
