While this is another Disney classic with stunning animation, the actual plot is really uncomfortable to watch. The entire movie is Belle getting manipulated, abused, and threatened into doing things she doesn't want to do. Then she experiences Stockholm syndrome with the Beast, but it's made out like it's "love". I likely wouldn't go out of my way to watch this again.

really solid stuff and performances are well done, largely well done fan service but a lil too "and now clap"-y. not enough room given to some of the villains, the first half feels so different to the second and it kinda needs to be two different films, but it still works well. second best of the Watts trilogy imo

The aggressive mix made it hard to follow but the video synth stuff was very cool and the stuff happening below the spectacle had a great humour

It’s funny to think about how this small thing, made and I think meant ephemerally, is now a time-capsule example of ‘how it really was’ in a way that’s impossible to fake, the stuff we remember and put in period-pieces is not the main gist of how they lived, etc.
