Gets off to a slow start, but keeps ratcheting up the drama and the complications bit by bit. Wow!

Overstays its welcome by about 30mins. The director does a good job giving it an eerie vibe, and I liked the design of the monster at the end, as well as the way the chase scene plays out. But I struggled to take the movie as seriously as it felt like it wanted me to. I didn't find the characters or overall plot particularly interesting.
