The #CleanUp of the #Photos #App on the #iPhone gets better and better. Before #iOS 27, removing such shadows without interfering with the handrail and its shadow would have been close to impossible.

St Francis Bay. Never seen so many snakes in one place as I did on that farm. This is a juvenile Skaarpsteker . Name means Sheep Striker , got that name as farmers years ago believed the these small snakes killed sheep! Back fanged and a mild venom which has NO effect on humans.

Hace un año celebramos nuestro 20 Aniversario de Boda con una escapada a Cantabria. En un restaurante de Torrelavega comimos esa ensalada. Estaba riquísima, pero no recuerdo el nombre del restaurante.

El plato presenta un rulo de queso de cabra ligeramente gratinado como protagonista, coronado con una generosa cobertura de cebolla caramelizada oscura y nueces peladas, todo bañado en un brillante hilo de vinagre de Módena reducido.

Debajo del queso se aprecia una base de canónigos y hojas de lechuga variada de tonos verdes y morados, sobre la que descansan tiras de pimientos del Piquillo asados de color rojo intenso, ligeramente arrugados por el asado, que aportan dulzor y contraste visual.
Alrededor del plato, formando un círculo decorativo, se distribuyen varias rodajas de huevo cocido: algunas presentadas al natural, otras marcadas a la plancha con líneas de tostado y otras cubiertas con más nueces troceadas y un toque del mismo vinagre reducido. Entre las rodajas de huevo se ven algunas nueces sueltas como elemento decorativo adicional.

El emplatado sigue un estilo de restaurante cuidado, con el vinagre de Módena trazado en líneas y puntos irregulares sobre el plato de cerámica clara con motas oscuras, creando un efecto artístico tipo “salpicado”. El plato descansa sobre un mantel o servilleta de color verde pálido, y la combinación de colores —verde de las hojas, rojo del pimiento, marrón del queso gratinado y las nueces, y el blanco-amarillo del huevo— genera un contraste visual muy vistoso, típico de una ensalada templada de estilo mediterráneo/francés servida como entrante.
