Beware flying murderbots!

Actually, there have been far fewer yellow-legged or Asian hornets (Vespa velutina; 🇩🇪 Asiatische Hornisse) this year than last – this is my first since April, while regular European hornets have been common.

Still, always a little chilling to see these invasive predators.

🛀 Bathhouse Number 8, Tskaltubo, Georgia

Part of an extensive Soviet health resort, facility fell into ruin after the USSR's collapse in 1991.

The space is an empty ruin, but there are several beautiful details. The dividing walls feature fascinating stylised deer murals. Also shrubs and a small sapling grow in the centre, nature reclaiming concrete.

At Lake Quinault trying to understand dark filters and bulb exposure! This is a reasonably dim area and a 10% filter so at least some of the images I took today required 12 second exposures. Pretty cool stuff! Probably a million other pictures of exactly this little stream but these are mine! R7, 16-35 L, f2.8 ultrawide and an 85mm L, f1.2 portrait!

Happy #FishFriday;
Super happy with my latest endeavor at Video Candy. My first attempt at adding clips together with music I will not get in trouble over (I really just wanted FishHeads....) and text. A very insignificant portion of a very over priced art school education finally coming in handy. Art Institute only owes me back $59,995 dollars now.
