<p>A quarter-century ago, with firm commitments from my partner, we commissioned a <a href="/tags/sailboat/" rel="tag">#sailboat</a> design for <a href="/tags/bluewater/" rel="tag">#bluewater</a> <a href="/tags/cruising/" rel="tag">#cruising</a> on a budget.</p><p>Still a lot of elements I like, but it would not be a fast <a href="/tags/cruiser/" rel="tag">#cruiser</a>. It also needs a substantial motor. Some things I know better than to do now: e.g. that windvane is dangerously far aft, unrepairable at sea. </p><p>When it came to the build, my partner dithered and delayed. It was never built.</p><p><a href="/tags/sail/" rel="tag">#sail</a> <a href="/tags/sailing/" rel="tag">#sailing</a></p>
<p>Petaluma River II</p><p>The Petaluma River is typically a very lazy river with a nice calming affect for those that can find the time to sit and enjoy its presence.<br>There are only a handful of access points to the river, most of them in and around the town of Petaluma itself. This image was captured about halfway between the City of Petaluma and the San Pablo Bay.</p><p><a href="https://pixels.com/featured/petaluma-river-ii-bill-gallagher.html" rel="nofollow" class="ellipsis" title="pixels.com/featured/petaluma-river-ii-bill-gallagher.html"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">pixels.com/featured/petaluma-r</span><span class="invisible">iver-ii-bill-gallagher.html</span></a></p><p><a href="/tags/petalumariverii/" rel="tag">#PetalumaRiverII</a> <a href="/tags/billgallagherphotography/" rel="tag">#BillGallagherPhotography</a> <a href="/tags/buyintoart/" rel="tag">#BuyIntoArt</a> <a href="/tags/petalumariver/" rel="tag">#PetalumaRiver</a> <a href="/tags/sunrise/" rel="tag">#Sunrise</a> <a href="/tags/sailboat/" rel="tag">#Sailboat</a> <a href="/tags/boats/" rel="tag">#Boats</a> <a href="/tags/ayearforart/" rel="tag">#AYearForArt</a></p>
<p>Lake Michigan Sunset</p><p>Summer time on the lakes means long days and short nights with some of the best sunsets that can be imagined.<br> The winds were calm but blowing enough to put the sail up and cruise around and catch the sunset. This is one of the images I was able to capture.</p><p><a href="https://pixels.com/featured/lake-michigan-sunset-bill-gallagher.html" rel="nofollow" class="ellipsis" title="pixels.com/featured/lake-michigan-sunset-bill-gallagher.html"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">pixels.com/featured/lake-michi</span><span class="invisible">gan-sunset-bill-gallagher.html</span></a></p><p><a href="/tags/lakemichigansunset/" rel="tag">#LakeMichiganSunset</a> <a href="/tags/billgallagherphotography/" rel="tag">#BillGallagherPhotography</a> <a href="/tags/greatlakes/" rel="tag">#GreatLakes</a> <a href="/tags/lakemichigan/" rel="tag">#LakeMichigan</a> <a href="/tags/sunset/" rel="tag">#Sunset</a> <a href="/tags/orangesky/" rel="tag">#OrangeSky</a> <a href="/tags/calmwaters/" rel="tag">#CalmWaters</a> <a href="/tags/sailboat/" rel="tag">#Sailboat</a> <a href="/tags/orangehorizon/" rel="tag">#OrangeHorizon</a> <a href="/tags/buyintoart/" rel="tag">#BuyIntoArt</a> <a href="/tags/ayearforart/" rel="tag">#AYearForArt</a> <a href="/tags/wallart/" rel="tag">#WallArt</a> <a href="/tags/giftideas/" rel="tag">#GiftIdeas</a> <a href="/tags/michigansummer/" rel="tag">#MichiganSummer</a></p>
