<p>What a lot of people don’t know, is that we had two socialists hold federal office in the early 1900s. Before Democrats and Republicans united on the Red Scare, the Socialist Party of America threatened the duopoly’s power, then conviently, the USSR failed at establishing democratic socialism a few years after their successful revolution.
