I know #Tidal isn't perfect (and buying physical media or band merch is better, but hey, that is situational, I will only buy an album after I already like it), but this sort of thing makes me feel vindicated in choosing not to use #Spotify.

What alternative music service can replace Spotify and its library of popular music? My kids have a few playlists that have musicians like Taylor Swift and Imagine Dragons which I could buy, but I'm curious if there really is another alternative.

Apple Music, TIDAL, etc are not the options I want to hear.

See? Radio Irrtum! is not only a hobby of mine, it is a cooperate effort across the Fediverse to get a beautiful sound mix of positive insanity.

Unfortunately the sound quality of my voice is… bad – can't help it. Am not @ home at the moment – am supporting my parents during an awkward situation onsite - no "studio" env here. U will understand me anyhow :). Tried to hide it with a space echo alike effect, but well…

Anyway: If at least a bit interested in kewl new unusual #music, tune in! 📻

Another read of this is that four organizations claim the right of ownership over "nearly all the world's commercial sound recordings". A cultural archive they claim is worth around half of US GDP, an immense sum.

Frankly it reads to me like an admission of their own guilt, the "brazen theft" being a projection, mens rea expressed as legal action.
