<p>We had <a href="/tags/fedicon/" rel="tag">#Fedicon</a> because <span class="h-card"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@reiver" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>reiver</span></a></span> came to <a href="/tags/sxsw/" rel="tag">#sxsw</a> to speak, and he left with the conviction that a Fediverse event in Vancouver would work. And he reached out to Canadian Fediverse participants to get a great lineup of speakers. He energized some really talented collaborators like <span class="h-card"><a href="https://techhub.social/@manlycoffee" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>manlycoffee</span></a></span> and <span class="h-card"><a href="https://tech.lgbt/@Crissy" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>Crissy</span></a></span> to make the event actually happen.</p>

<p>Anything <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#fediverse</a> related going on at <a href="/tags/sxsw/" rel="tag">#SXSW</a> this year? With the convention center closed down until 2029 I know it&#x27;s tough to find available space at a reasonable price.</p><p>I see some ATProto sessions. And the Nostr diVine app is getting some promotion as well.</p>
