Rated For All Mankind - Season 5 9/10
This show continues to be one of the most exciting sci-fi shows we've got. Severance and Pluribus are outstanding, both better acted and superior in their mindfuckery, but they fundamentally face inward, focusing on who and why. For All Mankind has a lot of why, but it doesn't shy away from what and how, not jus technologically but politically. Is it a bit hokey in the way plays out its algorithmic plot? Sure, but it plies the tropes excellently. I was somewhat appalled at the life that is "methane-based, not carbon-based," as if a show with these production values can't afford a science editor with a high school degree, or one that can use Wikipedia. I mean, they also seemed to zoom off to Titan in like a few weeks which also seems insane. Relax, nerd.
