<p>I love changing my <a href="/tags/perspective/" rel="tag">#perspective</a> by slipping into the most impossible roles. It helps me see everyday things with new eyes. <p>My copy of the <span class="h-card"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@404mediaco" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>404mediaco</span></a></span> zine has arrived! It is beautifully printed and I can't wait to dive in. Love receiving physical media from them (and in general).</p><p><a href="/tags/404media/" rel="tag">#404media</a> <a href="/tags/zines/" rel="tag">#zines</a></p>
<p>She's done! Looks way better in print, but I've got the digital flipbook version linked in my blog. If you read it, I'd love it if you left a comment afterward.</p><p>"Paradise Lost: Sarasota, Florida Hardcore & Punk Scene 1980s-1990s" is an interview zine about memory and subculture in the face of urban renewal. 68 pages, color cover, b&w interior. </p><p><a href="https://shotgunseamstress.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow" class="ellipsis" title="shotgunseamstress.blogspot.com/"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">shotgunseamstress.blogspot.com</span><span class="invisible">/</span></a> </p><p><a href="/tags/zines/" rel="tag">#zines</a> <a href="/tags/printedmatter/" rel="tag">#printedmatter</a> <a href="/tags/printmatters/" rel="tag">#printmatters</a> <a href="/tags/independentpublishing/" rel="tag">#independentpublishing</a> <a href="/tags/fuckice/" rel="tag">#fuckice</a> <a href="/tags/florida/" rel="tag">#florida</a> <a href="/tags/punk/" rel="tag">#punk</a> <a href="/tags/hardcore/" rel="tag">#hardcore</a> <a href="/tags/paradiselost/" rel="tag">#ParadiseLost</a></p>

<p>Was invited to join a group of women & nb folks to create an eco zine about <a href="/tags/florida/" rel="tag">#Florida</a>. It was very lovely on one level and very shocking on another. Two ppl present worked at commercial magazines. Adding graphic designers and artistic directors to the zine project were discussed. Silly me thought we would be putting the whole thing together ourselves. I don’t think most were even familiar with <a href="/tags/zines/" rel="tag">#zines</a> as related to subculture. It feels like concept has been gutted and sterilized over time.</p>
<p>Tomorrow (Saturday) at West St. Pete Community Library 11am-3pm. Full list of participating zinesters: <a href="https://www.printstpete.org/spzf" rel="nofollow"><span class="invisible">https://</span>www.printstpete.org/spzf</a>. There’s one other Sarasota zine maker on the list who I’ve never met or even heard of. His zine is called “Fast Food Legend” and he seems hilarious. <br><a href="/tags/florida/" rel="tag">#Florida</a> <a href="/tags/zines/" rel="tag">#zines</a> <a href="/tags/zinefest/" rel="tag">#ZineFest</a> <a href="/tags/independentpublishing/" rel="tag">#IndependentPublishing</a> <a href="/tags/punk/" rel="tag">#punk</a> <a href="/tags/lgbtq/" rel="tag">#LGBTQ</a></p>
