A strange phenomenon takes place. A beautiful flower blooms on a selected woman's body and that flower is called the "Shanidar". When the Shanidar is in full bloom, the flower produces a substance which is then sold at a high cost to develop new drugs. Kenji Otaki works as a researcher at the facility where the Shanidar is grown.

早已过了而立之年的一子（安藤樱 饰）整天百无聊赖，她根本无心帮助打理自家的料理店，整日玩游戏虐杀小外甥。她的妹妹二三子（早织 饰）离婚后回到娘家，极度看不惯姐姐的作为，为此两姐妹甚至大打出手。自感不被家人所容的一子搬了出去，并在日常光顾的百元超市谋得收银员的职位。这间小 店云集着许多怪人，患有忧郁症的店长、话唠猥琐的同事、因盗窃被开除却还时常回来拿临过期食品的老太。在这些人中间，一子的心情愈加苦闷。偶然机缘，她和名不见经传的拳击手狩野（新井浩文 饰）走到一起，无奈他们之间甚至连爱情都谈不上。极度压抑之际一子选择学习拳击，她渴望释放心中的委屈和不满，渴望获得哪怕只有一次的认可。

A burning Godzilla, on the verge of meltdown, emerges to lay siege to Hong Kong. At the same time horrifying new organisms are discovered in Japan. These crustacean-like beings are seemingly born of the Oxygen Destroyer, the weapon that killed the original Godzilla.

Two fishing scout pilots make a horrifying discovery when they encounter a second Godzilla alongside a new monster named Anguirus. Without the weapon that killed the original, authorities attempt to lure Godzilla away from the mainland. But Anguirus soon arrives and the two monsters make their way towards Osaka as Japan braces for tragedy.

When a massive, gilled monster emerges from the deep and tears through the city, the government scrambles to save its citizens. When the Ministry of Education goes back on its promise to keep Ooarai Girls Academy open, the task of saving the five-mile-long Academy Ship from the wreckers falls to Miho and her barely-seasoned tankery team. While the Oorai tank crew may have won the high school tournament, they’re now facing a larger and more experienced university team, and if they fail, their armored vehicles will be forfeit! Will they be swapping their tanks for the memories? It’s possible, but winning a tank battle is all about tactics and teamwork, and the fledgling Ooarai students have more friends and allies than anyone suspects.

Following Oorai's victory over Saunders, the school's next opponent is Anzio. This is an OVA which covers the battle of Oorai versus Anzio, which was not fully shown in the regular anime series.

原作は大友克洋のマンガだが、作者の過激な即興的手法によってそこからどんどん離れてゆき、気がつくと、8ミリ以外のメディアでは絶対成し得ない作者ならではの世界が構築されている。生身の人間達がマンガよりマンガ的にメチャクチャわめき狂い走りまくる超映画的躍動感の凄さと、全く対照的な静の映像から醸し出されるペーソスの心地良さ。

An elegiac ode to a loner who finds it difficult to fit in and the inevitable eruption of his frustration, Isolation of 1/880000 tells the story of Takemitsu, a disabled young man caught in the “examination hell” of trying to get into one of Japan’s top universities. Director Sogo Ishii (now renamed as Gakuryu Ishii) was the original 8mm punk, whose works expressed unhinged energy and made speed, intensity and rebellion their stylistic and thematic center, carrying over into his later 16mm and 35mm films such as Crazy Thunder Road and Crazy Family. In contrast, Isolation prefigures the more ethereal aesthetic of his big budget 1990s films.
