虽然基本系统玩法延续一代设定，让玩家们可以在广大的世界地图自由探索冒险之外，还将会搭载双人协力同乐等新系统玩法。在双人模式下，会由一名玩家来扮演猫咪，另一名则操纵狗狗角色（单人情况下则是可让玩家切换操作），一起为了猫狗之间的和平而奋斗；同时本作还将会加入剑与棍棒等新武器类刑、新咒文等要素，也让战斗更加丰富生动。
