It starts off pretty decent. I even at times thought it was as good as the first one, but then it devolves into absolute silliness in the second half. At times it felt like the movie was trying to be funny rather than scary.

I ain't gonna lie, recent events in my life are making me reconsider the way I've been acting for the last few years. I want to be less toxic and more appreciative. I have too much anxiety, and it's not being helped by me trying to combat every issue I see in the world, even if it's in the areas I care most about. I've certainly been very uptight about a lot of things, or, one could say, I died on many hills. Plus I'm sure my recurrent depression has often contributed to me not enjoying certain pieces of media as much as I would've otherwise. I don't really know what to do about that, but I just don't wanna be that person anymore. I want to enjoy life more, and that means enjoying the media I consume more. I probably need to be medicated.

Perhaps I'll start using this as Twitter too. Abandon all other websites, make this the uber-platform.

I just remembered how much I love this website, and it keeps getting better every day. I think I will eventually make the leap and start using it for movies and books as well.

@TheQuietGamer I think it was something to do with that one guy having a whole collection of configurations. But I forget why exactly that bothered me so much.

PROS: It's an almost exact copy of NFS Underground 2.
CONS: It's an almost exact copy of NFS Underground 2.

Much as I love Underground 2, it was a product of its time and should be evaluated on that basis. It's not a flawless game (few, if any, are), but this thing copies all its flaws, some of which were fixed in later NFS games. It's almost to the point where I don't see much of a point for this game's existence, as well-executed as it is. Marking it abandoned for now, unless I hear something from reviews and whatnot that will change my opinion.

@TheQuietGamer Seems I won't be able to play it on my current laptop, as it can't handle DirectX 12. Oh well, will have to wait till I get a better machine.

@TheQuietGamer I'm gonna have to give it a try if my computer can handle it. I only hope it engages with the themes of the original in a meaningful way, as opposed to just focusing on the gameplay and wrapping it in the original's aesthetics.
