婚后五年，在某网络公司上班的髙野干夫（堺雅人 饰）和毫不卖座的漫画家妻子小晴（宮﨑あおい 饰）过着平静的生活。干夫为人纤细，一丝不苟，习惯每天早上做便当，按照不同日期搭配便当的奶酪和领带。但是在巨大的工作压力下，干夫看似平静的内心渐渐失衡，他甚至一度企图自杀，经问诊才发现自己已经患了抑郁症。一向专注工作、神经大条的小晴回想，似乎早在几个月前干夫的身上便已出现了些许迹象。为了让丈夫尽快恢复健康，小晴以离婚相要挟迫使干夫辞职休养。失去了生活来源，髙野夫妇的生活陷入了前所未有的困境，但他们也在相互扶持的道路上获得了久违的快乐……
本片为細川貂々根据和丈夫望月昭真实经历撰写的同名原作改编，望月昭本人亦在片中客串角色。

白岩义男（小田切让 饰）离婚后回到了故乡函馆，进入了一间职业学校学习木工，全部的生活来源就只有一份失业救济金。白岩不愿回忆过去，也不对未来抱有期望，只是浑浑噩噩地过着眼前的生活。

Following the death of the unmarried and childless Taki, Takeshi, a young relative of hers, discovers several pages of closely written lines in which the old lady has recorded her memories. This is how he learns the truth about her youth working as a housemaid and nanny for the Hirai family in a little house in Tokyo with a red gabled roof.

Danshun himself was inspired as a little boy to become a rakugoka after seeing the legendary Danshi. He had found his calling. He soon realized however how hard the training was, and embarked upon a rigorous existence in which he had to deliver newspapers to earn a living. Living with hardship and joys, Danshun and his fellow apprentices would eventually rise in the rakugo world. A resplendent cast comes together to depict the rough and tumble world of a man who loved rakugo above all else and was destined to fulfill a dream.

Yukio Haruyama is an elementary school student. He has an uncle that teaches philosophy part-time at an university. His uncle leeches off his family. The uncle then goes on a blind date and falls in love with beautiful Eri Inaba. She is a fourth generation Japanese living in Hawaii. Sometime later, Eri goes back to Hawaii to take over a coffee farm left behind by her recently deceased grandmother. Yukio and his uncle travel to Hawaii to see Eri.
