The Testament of Dr. Mabuse - Review

This movie has a lot to absorb in its running time, to the extent that even after listening to the Criterion commentary I don't know if I have enough of a full grasp of everything it's doing to add any fresh insights of my own. That said, I really like how this movie works inside the pulp criminal-mastermind genre, and how it conceptualizes crime and general sociopathy as a memetic syndrome caused by a combo of economic deprivation and ineffectual government.
