As the son of a Viking leader on the cusp of manhood, shy Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III faces a rite of passage: he must kill a dragon to prove his warrior mettle. In this animated tale, a tiny village is destroyed by a surging glacier, which serves as the deadly domain for the evil Ice Lord, Nekron. The only survivor is a young warrior, Larn, who vows to avenge this act of destruction. The evil continues, however, as Nekron's palace of ice heads straight towards Fire Keep, the great fortress ruled by the good King Jarol. When Jarol's beautiful daughter, Teegra, is abducted by Nekron's sub-human ape-like creatures, Larn begins a daring search for her. What results is a tense battle between good and evil, surrounded by the mystical elements of the ancient past.

Wallace rents out Gromit's former bedroom to a penguin, who takes up an interest in the techno pants created by Wallace. However, Gromit later learns that the penguin is a wanted criminal. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive.

Wallace's whirlwind romance with the proprietor of the local wool shop puts his head in a spin, and Gromit is framed for sheep-rustling in a fiendish criminal plot.

It proves nearly impossible to recite Shakespeare’s immortal classic (which is set in Denmark) in the inhospitable universe without being shot to pieces or chased by the police. Behind the thick layers of British humour runs a deep undercurrent of anxiety. The production of ‘Hamlet’ becomes the two friends’ all-consuming project at a difficult time where Mark is growing increasingly lonely, while Sam is panicking about how to provide for his family. ‘There’s something rotten in Denmark’, but in GTA’s surrealist version of Elsinore, fortunes can change quickly.
