Once upon a time, in the middle of the last century, a great warrior named Babatou. Nigerian jumper from the region Dounga Gurunsi invaded the country and settled there. The brave prisoners were integrated into the army, women espoused. For fifty years, the adventurous young people from Niger Babatou went to live in the epic.

In July 1942, in the Second World War, the rearguard of the Russian army protects the bridgehead of the Don River against the German army while the retreating Russian troops cross the bridge. While they move back to the Russian territory through the countryside, the soldiers show their companionship, sentiments, fears and heroism to defend their motherland.

Englishman Robinson Crusoe, stranded alone on an island for years, is overjoyed to find a fellow man, a black islander whom he names Friday. But Crusoe cannot overcome the shackles of his own heritage and upbringing and is incapable of seeing Friday as anything other than a savage who needs Crusoe's brand of cultural and religious enlightenment. Friday attempts to share his own more generous and unashamed culture, but ultimately realizes that Crusoe can never see him as anything but an inferior being. With that awareness, Friday sets out to turn the tables on Crusoe.

1975 film by Adriano Celentano, Miki Del Prete

A pair of elderly men, friends for 40 years, find their relationship stressed when they set up housekeeping together in order to save money. Exploring similar ground to that covered in Neil Simon's play The Odd Couple, which spawned a movie and a television series, Ce Cher Victor explores the tragic and dramatic aspects of the story. The two friends, meek, sensitive Anselme (Bernard Blier) and blustering Victor (Jacques Dufilho) are swiftly driven apart by circumstances.

The film is based on the short story, No oyes ladrar los perros, written by Juan Rulfo and collected in El llano en llamas. The short story tells the tale of an old man carrying his wounded (criminal) son on his back in search of help. The film has a younger father carrying his sick child on his back looking for help. Meanwhile he tells his son about what his future life will be like. The film intercuts between the story of the man and his child and the possible future of the child as a young indigenous man looking for work in Mexico City.

After having been rescued from suicide, a young man is the object of a bet by his doctor that the doctor can help him recover his joy in life. Ironically, the doctor's life is not a very happy one either, and his boast has a hollow sound. For one thing, although he seemingly has a "happy divorce," in which he, his ex-wife and her new husband are all great pals, it's not true. He wants his wife back. All sorts of complications arise out of these lies and distortions.

Based on the novel by Thomas Mann. Charlotte Kestner, the love of Goethe's youth, became famous because she was the real-life Lotte represented in his renowned The Sorrows of Young Werther. At forty-four years of age she travels to Weimar to see Goethe again. The posturing of high society and Goethe's personal history lead her to an unexpected conclusion. Dramaturge (later Studio Director) Walter Janka was befriended by the Thomas Mann family, making this adaptation possible.

Director MIchel Drach tells here his own story,when he was a child during WW2.The film is a long flashback;Trintignant plays a director (actually Drach)who wants to transfer a screenplay -see above- to the screen.If my memory serves me,cause it's been a long time since I watched this flick for the last time,present scenes are shot in black and white whereas past sequences are in color.
Drach remembers.It was WW2,and Jews were arrested .His mother (played by Drach's then wife Marie-José Nat)had to escape from France and it was not an easy thing to do ,because of her compatriots ' greed.There's a wonderful part of a grand-mother ,marvelously played by Gabrielle Doulcet who tries to explain to her grandson the absurdity of the anti-Semitism.Nat won the best actress prize at the festival de Cannes 1974. Should appeal to people who like films like " Au nom de tous les miens" (story of Martin Gray ,directed by Robert Enrico),"un sac de billes" and of course "the diary of Anne Frank".

Two women and a transvestite gay man cross paths in this French Canadian drama. The transvestite is preparing for a drag-queen beauty pageant, and has decided to present himself as Cleopatra. Of the two women, one was just fired from her waitressing job and seeks to go back to work at the nightclub where the beauty pageant is to be held. The other woman's mother has just won one million food stamps.

Three criminals escape from prison and embark on a robbery spree across USA. Along the way, one of them falls in love while they plan a final heist before going their separate ways.
