劇場公開、2017年6月17日。5pb.による人気ゲーム「科学アドベンチャーシリーズ」の第4弾として2014年に発売された「CHAOS;CHILD」を原作に、17年1～3月に放送された同名テレビアニメの新作エピソード。テレビアニメでは、前作にあたる「CHAOS;HEAD」で発生した大災害「渋谷地震」から6年後を舞台に、復興された街に新設された私立高校・碧朋学園に通う宮代拓留が、自ら設立した新聞部の活動で、「ニュージェネレーションの狂気の再来」と呼ばれる連続殺人事件を追う姿を描いた。テレビ未放送の新作エピソードとなる今作では、多くの謎を残して終了したテレビアニメ最終話とは異なる結末を描く。大災害・渋谷地震から復興した街に創設された碧朋学園で、新聞部部長を務める宮代拓留（声：松岡禎丞）は、連続殺人事件「ニュージェネレーションの狂気の再来」を追っていた。彼が逮捕され、一人現実という舞台に残された尾上世莉架（声：上坂すみれ）。彼女が辿る運命とは・・・。
