王祖蓝（王祖蓝 饰）是一位山寨明星经纪人，某日，在带着手下一帮山寨明星参加一位香港土豪的生日宴会时不慎东窗事发，情形十分危急。阿超（温超 饰）是土豪的准女婿，他向王祖蓝伸出了援手，王祖蓝发现阿超的声音和星爷极为相像，于是大力举荐他到香港发展，认定其星途无量。
在香港，阿超结识了王祖蓝的妹妹王祖红（陈嘉桦 饰），王祖红是星爷的超级粉丝，平生最恨他人靠模仿星爷赚取眼球，无奈阿超的声音和星爷实在太过相似，为讨王祖红的欢心，阿超只能在她面前装聋扮哑。然而，就在两人的距离渐渐靠近之时，阿超的伪装穿帮了，愤怒的王祖红选择了离开。

在天宫负责编织彩云的织女（郭羡妮饰）为了给王母娘娘贺寿而到凡间寻找编织布匹的颜色。被织女取去颜色后的农田枯萎失收，农夫黄阿牛（温兆伦饰）无法缴租。织女为此非常内疚。织女的好友喜鹊（唐宁饰）为帮助黄阿牛，而私自动用了财神比干（欧锦棠饰）库房的财帛来帮助他。比干发现后告上天庭，王母扣除喜鹊的功德珠，喜鹊从此与比干为敌。在凡间，织女对黄阿牛日渐生情，芳心暗许。然而此事被王母发现，急召织女返回天庭。宠爱织女的王母，更不惜有意令黄阿牛失忆，洗去与织女所有幸福甜蜜的记忆。
由香港无线电视台推出，根据中国古代民间故事牛郎织女改编而成的20集电视剧《牛郎织女》，由温兆伦、郭羡妮携手演绎这段千古佳话。
