Maja has made a promise to her deceased sister: she will take care of her 15-year-old nephew Mathias, who has fallen into bad company and been kidnapped. Now the kidnappers are threatening to kill Mathias, and the problem is that Maja is sitting in a car far away. As the situation escalates, she must overcome her inner fears in an attempt to save Mathias.

Detective Jan Michelsen believes the disappearances of several young women are all related. As usual, Jan and his profiler partner Louise Bergstein will work together to understand and catch the perpetrators.
