1977 film by Ridley Scott

雷德利·斯科特老爷子在拍完《异形：契约》后，将拍摄一部聚焦“不列颠之战”的二战电影。不列颠之战是二战期间纳粹德国对英国发动的大规模空战，也是第二次世界大战中规模最大的一场空中战役。影片目前还处于早起开发阶段，剧本尚未完成，不过已确定由新秀Matthew Orton执笔。

20世纪福克斯最近买下了唐·温斯洛（Don Winslow）上月出版的畅销新书《卡特尔》（The Cartel）的电影版权，雷德利·斯考特（Ridley Scott）已经签约执导该片，而其中一位男主角有望由莱奥纳多·迪卡普里奥（Leonardo DiCaprio）扮演。
《卡特尔》是他根据现实中贩毒集团的故事创作的，主角是两个一起长大的好朋友，一个后来加入了贩毒集团，而另一个则成为了缉毒警察。小说从2004年一直讲到2014年，时间跨越了10年。
电影《卡特尔》剧本由《野蛮人》编剧沙恩·塞莱诺（Shane Salerno）和唐·温斯洛（Don Winslow）共同创作，福克斯希望让莱奥纳多·迪卡普里奥扮演那位缉毒警察。
由于剧本还没有完成，所以雷德利·斯考特不一定会把这个项目作为自己的下一部作品。目前他正在为今年上映的《火星人》（The Martian）做后期，此外《普罗米修斯》（Prometheus）续集他也将担任制片人。

In response to political pressure from Senator Lillian DeHaven, the U.S. Navy begins a program that would allow for the eventual integration of women into its combat services. The program begins with a single trial candidate, Lieutenant Jordan O'Neil, who is chosen specifically for her femininity. O'Neil enters the grueling Navy SEAL training program under the command of Master Chief John James Urgayle, who unfairly pushes O'Neil until her determination wins his respect.

Found as an extra on Ridley's fantastic feature debut, THE DUELLISTS, this short film is actually Ridley Scott's first completed work. Originally done during schooling, the student nature of the film is quite evident. Yet despite this, it is representative of Ridley's unconventional visual style, and his excellent eye for composition. This underrated director gives us stark visuals in black and white and using only natural light, making the film all that much more special. The narrative is somewhat obtuse, a peek into a young boy's thoughts as he rides around a small English town playing hooky. Definitely art house material, and thus not for everybody, but a must see for anyone with an interest in direction, cinematography or a die hard Ridley Scott fan. Almost as essential as THE DUELLISTS itself.
