The latest in the line of Saturday Night Live's great character players (including Dan Aykroyd and Phil Hartman), Will Ferrell showcases his fearlessness in this 72-minute collection. Whether exposing skin or taking a pause beyond the normal limits, Ferrell induces hard laughs like with the cowbell rocker in the first sketch. The selection includes Ferrell's spot-on impressions of Cub announcer Harry Caray, game-show icon Alex Trebek, President Bush, and Inside the Actor's Studio host James Lipton. As with other SNL Best of... retrospectives, there are short snippets to go along with the full-length sketches that include excellent selections of Ferrell's returning characters Craig the Cheerleader and the swinging Culp brothers. A must for fans, and the DVD includes an intriguing audition footage in which Ferrell leaps from character and character.

Filmed at the New York Comedy Festival, comedian Patrice O'Neal stars in his first and only full-length stand-up special. Featuring 40 minutes of additional content not seen on television, Patrice brings his trademark absurdism and friendly yet no-holds-barred style to material on race and gender politics, relationships and more.

The Sound of Music Live! is a television special that was originally broadcast by NBC on December 5, 2013. Produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the special was an adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Broadway musical The Sound of Music, starring country singer Carrie Underwood as Maria von Trapp, performed and televised live from Grumman Studios in Bethpage, New York. Meron felt that if the telecast were successful, the concept could become "another kind of entertainment that can exist on TV." By her request, Underwood's casting as Maria was personally endorsed by Julie Andrews, who starred in the 1965 film.

周末夜现场（英语：Saturday Night Live，首字母缩略字：SNL），是一个每周六深夜播出、90多分钟的美国综艺节目，以纽约市为拍摄地，自1975年10月11日由NBC播出。本节目在大西洋标准时区、北美东部时区、北美中部时区均是以现场直播的方式播出，是美国电视史上最长寿的节目之一。每周都有不同的客座主持人与音乐来宾加入，与该节目的固定卡司一同演出。
原本的节目名称为NBC的周末夜（NBC's Saturday Night），直到NBC于1976年更动名称为止（周末夜现场这个名称与ABC同时段的短寿节目名称撞名，直到该节目被停播，NBC才使用此名称）。改名后的第一集在1977年3月26日播出。
