本片是以2006年6月发生在黎巴嫩南部地区的战争为背景的。片子用倒叙的手法，讲述了6名在战争中被俘虏的三男三女在监狱里的经历。在镜头前他们毫不隐瞒，介绍了自己的姓名，籍贯，以及被俘日期。在狱中，食物奇缺，更毫无味道可言。狱友们全部共用一个桶排泄，也都同样用这个桶里的水洗脸。他们都遭受过那用金属丝缠绕成的带刺的鞭子的鞭打，常常被禁闭在只有8平米的牢房里。监狱里什么都没有，他们将平时自己偷偷藏起的一些小玩意当成宝，比如用一小段铁丝网上弄下来的铁丝磨成的针，用乳酪的铝包装纸做成的铅笔，用橄榄核磨成的小珠子串成的项链...它们有的被用掉,有的则被做为礼物,在狱友间互相交换。一个女囚犯说，她做出这些东西来，是对监狱里非人道的待遇所做出抗争。
当他们得到释放的时候，他们仍不忘带上这些粗糙简陋的小玩意。对这些囚犯来说，这些小东西不仅仅时刻提示他们所受到的屈辱，同时也让他们铭记着狱中那珍贵的友情。

A meditation on civilization. July, 2001: friends wave as a cruise ship departs Lisbon for Mediterranean ports and the Indian Ocean. On board and on day trips in Marseilles, Pompeii, Athens, Istanbul, and Cairo, a professor tells her young daughter about myth, history, religion, and wars. Men approach her; she's cool, on her way to her husband in Bombay. After Cairo, for two evenings divided by a stop in Aden, the captain charms three successful, famous (and childless) women, who talk with wit and intellect, each understanding the others' native tongue, a European union. The captain asks mother and child to join them. He gives the girl a gift. Helena sings. Life can be sweet.

Eugenia is the queen of an imaginary European country. When her husband dies, quite unexpectedly, the country is left without a king. According to the law, the new king needs to be married so that leaves out the eldest son. Her youngest son, Prince Arnaud is married to the lovely Armelle and they have two young children. They become the future rulers of the kingdom.

现今的时装界，「创新」已沦为空泛的口号，现实是，最紧要人有我有。从前名人都是艺术家，追求境界，现在所有做创作或艺术的人，都要做明星，知名度比一切都重要。自去年Anna Wintour答应做真人版的《穿Prada的恶魔》，让摄制队侵入她的私生活，拍纪录片。今年，就有三年修成正果的老Karl歪腻传记片——《Lagerfeld Confidential》（中译：《时尚大帝》），时装界两大巨擘，已经拍了纪录片，再做的也不是甚么光彩的事。但咱“LV王子”Marc Jacobs就是要拍，就是要DVD化一争高下，虽然是小规模的电视版，但开幕发行什么的依然大牌明星云集。
人气依然鼎盛的Marc Jacobs，今年也发行了他的自传纪录片，不过是小规模的电视版。片子记录了Marc Jacobs的创作历程，分别在纽约的Marc Jacobs总部和巴黎的Louis Vuitton总部内设计与筹备2007年春夏季的Fashion Show。导演Dominique Miceli跟他在巴黎时装周出出入入，其实拍来拍去也是他在Model身上拉拉衫脚，叫模特儿转转圈看看，然后完骚后光彩地出来接受群众的欢呼。
这部纪录片《 Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton 》的DVD已于在今年二月开始发售。当中包含了绝少公开的私密地方，例如Marc的创作室、LV 的布仓、车间和Fashion Show的后台。也收录了Marc是如何从七彩缤纷的macaroon得来灵感去创作LV的皮包。当然也摄录了他们通宵达旦工作的情形，如何剪裁和修改样办，怎样用不同的物料，和怪奇的方法去制造不同效果的头饰，也有一排排数之不尽，不同颜色和呎码的高根鞋。在短短的个多小时，把Marc Jacobs由构思、创作、做办、修改到最后出Show的整个过程都拍了出来，的确很有启发性。
另外的一些花絮，例如Marc Jacobs的饮食餐单，他的艺术收藏嗜好，在工作间跟员工跳舞，娱乐一番的片段，都令人觉得Marc是一个精力充沛，平易近人的设计师。间场的还有村上隆、草间弥生和「穿Parda的恶魔」Anna Wintour 现身，内容丰富。无论你是Marc Jacobs、Louis Viutton的fans，或现职时装设计师，都应该看看这套片子。
反而Marc近年私生活成为各大同志网站和狗仔队的目标对象，但都无损他的受欢迎程度，因为他替LVMH赚大钱呢！
其实Marc Jacobs的设计江河日下已经有五至六季，但是人人都疼爱他，即使骂他一次半次，也不会继续大骂下去，Marc的人缘极好，这就是赚钱不如赚人的最佳示范。
