走投无路的阿南德在公众面前做了一次激荡人心的演讲，这次演讲让他获得了ZF的注意。国家的关怀很快就降临到了他的头上，于是德拉加夫人帮助他成立了教育基金，并建立了属于他的辅导中心。
幕后制作
影片片名源自印度施行的给弱势群体提供教育和工作的“预留”政策，这项政策的主要目的是帮助那些经受几个世纪压迫的低种姓人民。然而由于对于“贵族”种姓的负面描写，影片上映后引起了很大争议。
《预留风波》曾在印度的三个省遭遇禁放。这部在印度引起巨大争议的电影讲述了印度鼓励此前所谓的“不可接触”阶层接受教育的行动。但由于题材极端敏感，涉及特定种姓定额预留制度，当局唯恐影片中差别对待的言语激起民众抗议而禁放该片。
印度北方的三个省，北方邦、西北部的彭加省、东南部的安德拉邦认为《预留风波》的放映将会使得印度人对法律和秩序产生质疑。在2006年，为了防止种族与性别歧视，印度ZF下令实施“扶弱政策”，要求所有企业和学校按照比例为弱势民族和特定种姓的人预留职位，也称为“预留制度”，这部影片的名字就意为“预留”，这种政策用来保证印度1.66亿的底层民众在经过了几百年的压抑之后也有了翻身的机会。但反对者则认为要解决低种姓和落后阶层的问题，不在于要不要“保留”，而在于如何从根本上消除影响印度社会几千年来的社会毒瘤即种姓制度本身。
这部影片由知名的印度导演普加西哲(Prakash Jha)执导，由宝莱坞明星阿米塔布·巴沙坎( Amitabh Bachchan)主演。而这位在宝莱坞的地位犹如中国影星成龙在国内电影界地位的男星，被指责在此片中用污言秽语来描绘底层民众。导演本人否认了这部影片主要用来丑化“贱民”形象，“在印度，有一些人从这种预留机制中获益，也有些人因为这种政策而丧失了机会，” 普加西哲说，“预留和分配制度是印度的现实。这基本上就是印度人和印度人之间的战争，我只是想通过在我的电影里展示这样的现实来弥补阶层与阶层之间的隔阂。”
