When BBC's Planet Earth appeared on television screens worldwide a decade ago it transformed how viewers saw their planet. Capturing a global audience of over half a billion people it gave an unprecedented view of life on Planet Earth. 10 years on this fascinating subject has been revisited with the incredible march of technology allowing the viewer to watch the natural world from even more perspectives. This stunning new ultra-high definition series is narrated as before by Sir David Attenborough. The soundtrack from Hans Zimmer and his team leads with the composer's powerful theme to the series which reflects nature in all its awesome power. With over 120 soundtracks to his credit which have grossed 24 billion dollars at the box office Hans Zimmer has been honoured with many accolades, an Academy Award, two Golden Globes, three Grammys, an American Music Award, a Tony Award and The Henry Mancini Award for Lifetime Achievement. His Academy Award nomination for Interstellar marked his 10th Oscar nomination. The score composition is completed by Jacob Shea and Jasha Klebe from The Bleeding Fingers Custom Music Shop, a joint venture between Extreme Music and Hans Zimmer's RCI Global created to build a world-class Zimmer approved TV-focused roster.

Back in the Golden Age of the Hollywood epic, composer Miklós Rózsa lavished much scholarly research on his scores for Quo Vadis (1951), Ben-Hur (1959), El Cid (1961) and others, gracing those movies with music that had as its wellspring authentic (or at least authentic-sounding) melodies from the period. For Ridley Scott's revival of the Roman epic, Gladiator, Hans Zimmer eschews such learned academia in favour of his own more contemporary, wall-of-sound approach (honed to perfection on movies like Tony Scott's Crimson Tide). In truth, no one is quite sure what Roman music sounded like, and Zimmer's unscholarly rock music background is temperamentally better suited to Scott's all-action movie anyway.
Gladiator's score is a stylistic conflation of some audacity, incorporating lavish synthesised, percussive action sequences (a Zimmer trademark), "ethnic" instrumentation including Spanish guitar, Chinese dulcimer and Armenian duduk, and--most suprisingly of all for Zimmer--unabashed plagiarism of Wagner (his cue "The Might of Rome" is "Siegfried's Funeral March" in all but name) and Holst ("The Battle" and "The Barbarian Horde" lean heavily on "Mars"). Vocalist and co-composer Lisa Gerrard (fresh from working on The Insider, coincidentally also starring fellow-Australian Russell Crowe) adds her ethereal vocalisms to the music's more intimate scenes ("Sorrow" and "Elysium" for example). Her contribution brings an exotic, Oriental flavour to a score that in its broad musical canvas reflects the movie's depiction of the vast scope of the Roman Empire. If not the equal of Zimmer's career best work on The Thin Red Line (1998), this is still a hugely entertaining and diverse soundtrack. --Mark Walker

影片追溯蝙蝠侠的起源，父母被杀害的童年阴影引起了布鲁斯强烈的复仇欲望，布鲁斯求教于瑞斯·阿古--一个令人不寒而栗又肃然起敬的忍者领袖。当布鲁斯终于回到自己的故乡哥特市时，出现了一位全副盔甲，强大且机智的正义化身——蝙蝠侠。《蝙蝠侠：侠影之谜》与前4集相比最大的变化有两点：一是造型夸张，蝙蝠车和蝙蝠战衣都经过了重新设计。二是明星阵容更强大，片中蝙蝠侠的演员换成了《美国狂人》里的男星克里斯蒂安·贝尔，还有加里·奥德曼、利亚姆·尼尔等奥斯卡奖的宠儿们倾情加盟，日本影星渡边谦则出演大反派。
《蝙蝠侠：侠影之谜》的主要拍摄工作从2004年3月开始，9月完成。129个工作日里，摄制组到过冰岛、芝加哥和伦敦进行实景拍摄，也在英国著名的谢伯顿电影制片厂摄影棚以及由飞机库改建的，庞大的卡丁顿摄影棚内进行拍摄。
这部影片拍摄时间较长，部分原因是因为导演克里斯托弗·诺兰决定不使用第二摄制组和导演。通常情况下在导演专注于拍摄主要内容时，另外一个摄制组将指挥拍摄动作镜头和辅助性镜头。诺兰深入细致的工作保证了他对影片的构思能够贯彻始终，使这部大制作影片的方方面面都突显出了现实主义风格，包括从设计到特技演员和特效镜头。
