三毛是生长在旧社会的穷孩子，到上海找远亲谋职业。不料远亲是个不务正业的人。他教三毛学“扒手”。三毛不愿害别人，被赶出来。剃头摊的师父收留了他。但师娘经常拿三毛出气，手艺未学成又被转送给算命瞎子。他和一个小姑娘小英日夜伺候瞎子，小英常常受到虐待。三毛不平，设法报复，出了气后便与小英双双逃走，手挽手走向新的生活。

Wei, a young lesbian, goes to Thailand on a graduation trip. After witnessing an intimate interaction between the girl she fancies and a male friend, she goes to a Thai massage parlour, but the experience isn't as beautiful as she envisioned.

This spectacularly eccentric satire by Su Hui-Yu draws on 1970s Taiwanese TV culture and has a roller-skating Hitler dance with Stalin and Mao do the same with Chiang Kai-shek. A revue show of dictators in cahoots with the entertainment industry.

In the early 1980s, hundreds of the so-called female revenging/exploitation films were produced in Taiwan. The 2020 version was based on the old genre to recreate a fantasy of the bloody revenge. The film is one of Su Hui-Yu’s “Re-shooting” series, which re-visits historical sources in Taiwan during the old days around the 1970s-1980s while the country was under martial law governance.

《七十二家房客》是上海人民滑稽剧团的看家之作。1958年，杨华生、笑嘻嘻、张樵侬、沈一乐四位老滑稽艺术家以解放前上海底层市民的艰苦生活为素材，写就了轰动一时的《七十二家房客》，从此，“七十二家房客”成了住房狭小的代名词。1978年，王汝刚等当时年轻一代的演员加盟，让《七十二家房客》的现场演出可谓一票难求，也曾进京演出。“三六九”、“炳根”、“二房东”、“小皮匠”这些经典人物，对老一辈上海人可以说是家喻户晓。
2017年新春佳节推出的沪语贺岁剧《七十二家房客》，将原本的舞台作品扩展成8集、每集45分钟的电视剧，在不游离原舞台剧的前提下，将舞台剧里蜻蜓点水的支脉挖掘出来有的扩展，有的延伸，改编并增加了不少人物。所以这次不是简单的翻拍，而是重塑经典。
