剧情紧接着《功夫熊猫3》的动画剧集《功夫熊猫：命运之爪》有了第二季，日前制作方梦工场动画曝光了预告片。动画片聚焦于阿宝（Po）和4个天赋异禀的徒弟怒海（Nu Hai）, 宝（Bao）, 靖（Jing）、饭桶（Fan Tong）之间的故事。去年11月在亚马逊上线第一季13集后评价还可以，IMDb8.0分，第二季将于7月5日上线，主打儿童观众。
《功夫熊猫：命运之爪》依旧受到华语武侠/功夫片的影响，4个精力充沛的熊猫宝宝掉到一个山洞里，他们从传说中的“四大星宿”那里获得了神力（chi），有了成为大侠的基础。这4个熊孩子需得到神龙大侠阿宝的指点才能成大器，这样的设定非常武侠小说了。
