《致命钥匙》的故事围绕着一栋名叫“钥匙屋”坐落于新英格兰的公寓展开，一群孩子成为这栋充满神秘和魔幻色彩的房子的看守者。孩子们惊奇地发现每扇门后面会带给他们各种不同的结果，有的可以带他们到别处去，或者赐予他们力量，甚至还会改变他们的性别和肤色。可是这其中的一扇门背后，却潜伏着一只残暴凶猛的怪物。
帝门影业已经从斯蒂芬·金的小说改编当中受益不浅－2007年的《1408》和《迷雾》(The Mist)。《人皮客栈》导演艾利·鲁斯（Eli Roth）正忙于拍摄斯蒂芬·金的小说《手机凶铃》（The Cell）。
而帝门影业的主席鲍伯·韦恩斯坦（Bob Weinstein）则表示，“我太喜欢乔写的东西了，里面有很多恐怖片影迷们热爱的元素，影片会随着一扇扇门的开启让你逐渐惊恐起来的。”

《终结者外传》(Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles)是美国FOX公司将在2008年播出的剧集，根据经典科幻影片《终结者》系列改编，内容讲述的是《终结者2》中发生的一系列事件之后，女主角Sarah Connor(Lena Headey扮演)和她的儿子John(Thomas Dekker扮演)的生活。
