首先史丹佛大学研究团队发现了他脸部产生骨折，这也是他致命的原因，制作团队怀疑他是面对了空难所导致的结果，除此之外经科学检测其基因定序确定为「无法归类」的DNA，因为人类彼此的DNA是99.9%相同，只有一点不同，但这次天狼星外星人DNA和人类是极度不同，因此推断是外星人的机率极高。接着，经由骨质密度与骨骺板的研究测定的结果，来推论他出生后存活了6至8年，所以原本有人怀疑他是肚子里面的胎儿胚胎，这个说法也被推翻，除此之外，在人体中染色体边边的蛋白质端粒酶，随着年龄增长也会断裂、脱落，所以也由此判定不是胚胎。最后，经过染色体检测，确定这外星人是男性，原因是在DNA中，其中有一部分的DNA是可以指挥身体制造男性生殖器官，因此也可从这点来判断性别。
无论如何，这次纪录片可说是史无前例，第一次如此完整的纪录，而这也代表了，在这浩瀚的宇宙当中，充满了各种未知，而我们地球人也不是唯一生活在这宇宙中的生物啊！
