Women Always Ready (1987) [Movie]
director: Branko Baletic actor: 更多...
other title: Uvek spremne zene
Story about seven women who escape from a camp and try to get a job and to put their lives together. They start by visiting old friends who aren't very friendly. Hardships follow. This is a classic social drama about no ups and plenty downs for seven young women who try to make it on their own, doing everything from factory work to smuggling. Some of most talented (and beautiful) actresses play together in this movie, like Mirjana Karanovic, Tanja Boskovic, Dara Dzokic. If you like tragic social dramas you'll like this, if not for the quality of the story, then for the strong performances.
This is classified as a rollicking comedy in Yugoslavian territories, despite having a story dealing with a realistic and horrifying catalogue of woes. In the film, seven women friends have grown tired of working for a farmer who refuses to pay their wages. They steal one of his tractors to go into town. There, they employ a black-market labor operative to help them find work in Munich. He takes their money and passports to try and help them do just this but winds up arrested before he can do anything to help them. The women are then forced to go through a local health exam to be passed as eligible for work, and after that, they somehow pull through, despite a series of rapes, pregnancies, and beatings. When they finally do get a job together at a new factory, they discover that the factory has no access to raw materials and will shortly be shutting down.

安东尼的碎镜 (1957) [Movie] Douban
Antonijevo razbijeno ogledalo
other title: Antonijevo razbijeno ogledalo
One of the first films made by Makavejev, the central figure of the Serbian/Yugoslavian Black Wave cinema.
This is short film in it's best form.
Amazing camera work, innovative storyline. This 1957 film looks much older, probably because the only copy preserved isn't that good at all.
Tag line of the film (which shows up with the rest of the title cards somewhere around the middle of the film) is "A fairy tale of a man who broke his dream".
First five minutes of the film show a weird fellow who is playing marbles with kids and seems to be just biding his time. Film after the titles continues to follow his adventures as his love story unfolds. A love story between him and a doll in a window shop.
Also, what's interesting is the main role which is played by Dragoljub Ivkov, the most versatile person in Serbian cinema. This man has been involved in so many different projects in so many different roles:
Actor, writer, director, art director, producer, editor, costume designer, cinematographer, production designer...

不要相信雕像 (1958) [Movie] Douban
Spomenicima ne treba verovati
director: 杜尚·马卡维耶夫 actor: Mirjana Vacic
other title: Spomenicima ne treba verovati / Don't Believe in Monuments
Makavejev's interest in political and sexual liberation, which he believed could not be separated, was evident early in his career. His second short, Spomenicima Ne Treba Verovati (1958), won praise at Cannes but censorship at home, when the Yugoslav authorities held it back for five years because of an "overly erotic" seduction scene. This would be the first of many run-ins with the censors that would plague his career and, arguably, keep him from being recognized as a major postwar film artist.

Nevinost bez zastite
7.2 (5 ratings) director: 杜尚·马卡维耶夫 actor: Dragoljub Aleksic / Bratoljub Gligorijevic
other title: 不受保护的无辜者 / Nevinost bez zastite
Innocence Unprotected is composed of footage of the 1941 film of the same name. Innocence Unprotected was originally filmed in 1941 under the title Nevinost bez zaštite which was meant to be the first sound feature film made in Serbia.Nevinost bez zaštite was made by the Yugoslav gymnast Dragoljub Aleksić, who wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the film. Nevinost bez zaštite was never released due to the Nazi censors while ironically later during the Yugoslav communist period some accused and condemned it as being pro-Nazi.
In 1968 filmmaker Dušan Makavejev found the film and expanded upon it with newsreel footage of Nazi Propaganda and German occupation as well. Other footage includes Aleksić performing his acrobatics and filmed interviews of the surviving cast members. Makavejev tinted some of the black and white scenes in the film and hand colored some details. The film was referred to by Makavejev as a "montage of attractions", with a montage styled celebration of Serbian customs, folklore, and humor.

What does the energy harnessed through orgasm have to do with the state of communist Yugoslavia circa 1971? Only counterculture filmmaker extraordinaire Dušan Makavejev has the answers (or the questions). His surreal documentary-fiction collision begins as an investigation into the life and work of controversial psychologist and philosopher Wilhelm Reich and then explodes into a free-form narrative of a beautiful young Slavic girl’s sexual liberation.
