男高中生比企谷八幡（江口拓也 配音）性格别扭，孤僻乖张，既交不上朋友，也不敢跟女生说话。老师布置了“回顾高中生活”的作业，他却通篇愤世嫉俗之言，最后还发出了“给我爆炸吧”的诅咒。老师因此强行将他带去了只有一个部员的“侍奉部”，希望可以改变他的性格。这个社团的活动，就是拥有者将以慈悲之心施予贫乏者，简单地说，就是侍奉部里的志愿者向有困难的人伸出援手。侍奉部部长就是校内无人不晓的雪之下雪乃（早见沙织 配音），她头脑聪明，长相可爱，却为人高傲。雪之下要纠正比企谷的问题，而他却表示不必。因此老师提议他们决一胜负，赢的人就可以随意命令输的人。

Natsume Yuujinchou San follows Takashi Natsume, a boy who is able to see youkai. Natsume and his bodyguard Madara, nicknamed Nyanko-sensei, continue on their quest to release youkai from their contracts in the "Book of Friends."

Natsume comes to terms with his ability to see youkai and stops thinking of it as a curse. As he spends more time with his human and youkai friends, he realizes how much he values them both and decides he doesn't have to choose between the spirit and human worlds to be happy.

In the year 2022, a massive online role-playing game called Sword Art Online (SAO) is launched. With the aid of "NerveGear" technology, players can control their avatars within the game using nothing but their own thoughts.

Kazuto Kirigaya is among the lucky few who get their hands on the first shipment. He logs in to find himself, with ten-thousand others, in the scenic and elaborate world of Aincrad.
