Sonny Chiba plays Kyokushin Karate founder Masutatsu Oyama, who unexpectedly arrives at a karate tournament in rags, but wins the tournament. After turning down the chance to fight at future tournaments he returns to his simple village life. He reluctantly returns to karate for a final showdown against the students of a rival school.

Koryu heads to Yokohama in search of a woman named Birei, kidnapped by diamond smugglers who move their hot rocks by surgically implanting them into the nubile buttocks of Chinese prostitutes. Koryu's older sister, working as a jewelry designer, is secretly, if unhappily, involved with the gangsters.

袴と日本刀を身につけた高校生がマドンナを賭けて財閥の御曹司と対決するという熱血コメディ・アクション。原作マンガのトレードマークのひとつであった、顔をぐにゃりと変化させる様を再現しているのがユニーク。
使用された特殊メイクは、上まぶたに割り箸を突っ込んで手前に広げる、口の端を思い切り広げる、正面からのショットで両方の鼻の穴から鼻血が出るという３シーン。まぶたのシーンはダミーヘッドを使用、スムーザンラバー製のまぶたを引っ張ると同時に目玉も突き出すような仕掛けになっている。口の端を引っ張るシーンは実際の歯を黒く塗り、その上にダミーの歯と伸びやすい唇のアプライエンスを貼り付けて演技しており、トム・サビーニが香港映画で行ったテクニックを再現している。最後の鼻血は鼻の頭と頬のアプライエンスで血の出るチューブを隠して撮影された。特殊メイク以外にも実物大に近いハリアー攻撃機や火を噴く身の丈３ｍの茶運び人形が登場しており、日本映画ではなかなか見られないタイプのコメディーになっている。

Sex & Fury chronicles Ocho's exploits as she searches for her father's killers, each identified by unique tattoos on their backs (a deer, a boar, and a butterfly). Along the way, she also crosses paths with Shonusuke, a radical set on murdering prominent politician Kurokawa and Christina, an American spy posing as a gambler.
