灌男（吴大维 饰）十分热爱篮球这项运动，加入了暗恋的女生琪琪（麦家琪 饰）的父亲所组建的球队，结识了一帮志同道合的好友。在众人的同心协力之下，球队一路披荆斩棘，最终打败了诸多敌手，获得了同美国巨人队一争高下的资格，然而，就在这个节骨眼上，队员们却因为加薪的要求被拒而纷纷离开球队。
无奈之下，琪琪的父亲只能找了一群虾兵蟹将前来顶替，希望通过魔鬼训练在短时间内提高他们的水平，灌男就在此列。琪琪的哥哥金刚亦是一名职业篮球运动员，然而琪琪的父亲却没有将他和他的球队列入考虑的范围之内，这让金刚十分恼火，他提出同灌男所在的球队比试一场，由胜出方来应付同巨人队的比赛。
