Triad member Chicken is designated by Taiwan's San Luen Gang to marry Nanako, the daughter of the fifth generation leader of the Yamada Gang in Japan. Later, the leader of the triad group gets murdered. Actually, all the San Luen Gang members suspect Chicken attacked their leader Liu, in order to make a chance for him to rule the Gang and thus have adopted an extremely hostile attitude towards him.

Since dropping out from the medical school, Lau Mack has been living a humble but contented life, running a small clinic in a shabby area, treating local inhabitants and poor prostitutes working there. One night, he escorts an injured gun robber to the government hospital, where he unexpectedly meets his old friend from college time, Dr. Jaw, now a reputed surgeon with an aspiration for senior management. To Jaw's bitter surprise, he finds himself outshone by Lau's medical talent and kindness to patients. Jaw is however determined to speed up his career ascent at the expense of Lau. His plots work perfectly, until an accident delivers his life to the mercy of Lau.

King（郑伊健 饰）跟Queen（杨恭如 饰）是兄妹，他们跟Jack（古天乐 饰）组成的“BadBoy特工”专门为人寻找失去的爱情。台湾首富容永兴想找他们寻回初恋情人——亚洲女飞人管正（舒淇 饰），同时青年天涯（陈晓东 饰）也来寻找失踪的情人Shadow（舒淇 饰），没想到管正和Shadow有着同样的面孔。更没想到的是King在酒吧里认识了失忆的Eleven（舒淇 饰）跟管正、Shadow十分相似。多情的King爱上了Eleven，后来Eleven被抓走。天涯找到了Shadow，原来日本野心家企图把从管正身上取得的DNA注入Shadow体内，失败后Shadow毁容。得知情况后，King跟Jack立即营救Eleven。

本片由三个故事组成：
故事一《头魂》：讲述年轻警察（林晓峰 饰）负责看守一宗无头女尸案的现场，竟然发现了案情的真相跟管理员七叔（林尚义 饰）有关。
故事二《撞鬼》：年轻夫妇（徐锦江 饰）（江希文 饰）开车撞死人不顾而取，结果被鬼魂一直纠缠，把夫妻两捉弄得苦不堪言。
故事三《最后晚餐》：老母亲（罗兰 饰）逝世了，她的儿子（黄秋生 饰）、媳妇（苑琼丹 饰）、孙子孙女便是十分不孝。母亲在三七之夜回到了家里，原来仍牵挂着自己的孩儿。众人才能感受到老母亲的爱，但已太迟。

山鸡从小就喜欢邻家青梅竹马的小女孩芝芝（梁咏琪 饰），但芝芝不喜欢和古惑仔来往，渐渐疏远了山鸡。山鸡一次偶然机会发现芝芝出来当舞女，原来芝芝母亲病重，急于用钱无奈之下芝芝才出来当舞女。山鸡帮助了芝芝，芝芝母亲觉得山鸡为人不错，临终将芝芝托付给了芝芝。
山鸡决定送芝芝回澳门定居，但此时横生枝节，两人最终能否终成眷属？
