Jim Broadbent wrote and starred in this short film directed by none other than Mike Leigh. As a member of the landed gentry, the 23rd Earl of Leete has a duty to maintain and expand his lands. Shot in the style and manner of a BBC documentary, Broadbent tells his family history to the crew, who slowly come to realise - as do we - that things are not what they seem.

Academy Award® winning actor Jim Broadbent makes his long-awaited return to the stage to play Scrooge in a new comic re-telling of A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens’ classic story of greed, grief, ghoulish ghosts and eleventh hour redemption. Puppeteers Jack Parker and Kim Scopes complete the ensemble.
From Scrooge and Tiny Tim to Bob Cratchit and Mr. Fezziwig, Patrick Barlow’s imaginative adaptation of A Christmas Carol will bring some of Dickens’ most memorable characters to life.
Coming together to create this innovative new work are some of our most loved and mischievous maverick theatre-makers. The play is written by the Olivier Award-winning and Tony nominated Patrick Barlow (The 39 Steps) with whom Jim Broadbent performed for many years in Barlow’s cult comedy troupe The National Theatre of Brent. A Christmas Carol is directed by Olivier Award-winning Phelim McDermott, Artistic Director of Improbable, one of Britain’s most inventive theatre companies, and who was responsible for the iconic 1998 production of Shockheaded Peter. McDermott also directed Theatre of Blood at the National Theatre in which Broadbent last appeared on stage.
Joining them is the critically-acclaimed designer Tom Pye (The Testament of Mary, The Death of Klinghoffer, The Low Road) and Toby Sedgwick (War Horse, The 39 Steps) as Director of Movement. Peter Mumford will design the lighting and Gareth Fry will design sound.

Lawrence Cryer is a fraudster serving a sentence in a minimum security prison.The initial cause of death was thought to be a heart attack but the autopsy reveals he was struck down. Cryer was one of three businessmen who had defrauded millions from would be investors. His fellow fraudsters, Alex Bailey and Brian Thornton, are serving their sentences in the same prison. Cryer's young widow is now having an affair with Thornton's son and Bailey continues to engage in financial planning of some sort. Morse believes that the three must have salted some money abroad but is having difficulty finding the evidence. When a second fraudster collapses from an overdose of heart medication, Morse focuses on those who lost money in the investment scheme but the answer lies elsewhere.

In 1880s London, pornographic bookseller Verloc is a double agent for the Russian government, providing information to Chief Inspector Heat about a lazy anarchist organization. In order for the anarchists to be arrested, an act of terrorism must occur. So Verloc decides to set up bombs – which leads to tragedy – not only for himself but also for his family, including wife Winnie and brother-in-law, Stevie.

Set in the 1950s, Rough Magic tells the story of what happens when a pretty apprentice magician goes to Mexico to escape her fiancé, a wealthy politician, and to find a Mayan shaman who will teach her ancient principles of magic. The photojournalist joins her in the search for the Mayan shaman, and falls in love with her; the feeling is not reciprocated. When she finds the shaman, she drinks a potion which empowers her to do magic. The potion has life-changing effects on her and her relationship with her companion. They have strange experiences which are brought about by magic.

The Mutual Film Corporation, through producer D.W. Griffith, interests for the proposition and sends the filmmaker Frank Thayer to negotiate a contract with Pancho Villa himself.

性、毒品、暴力，这一切都让《吉姆闯天关》成为一部「少儿不宜」的动画影片。虽然这部挪威影片早已公映，但国内的相关报道并不多。
这里就简单做一介绍，让大家有机会瞭解这部可能比《南方公园》更夸张的「限制级」CG电影。

这是BBC于1990年拍摄的关于凡高的电视剧。
BBC的拍摄手法一贯是比较平和的，并不过分的张扬。这部片子的风格也是如此。看过1956年Kirk Douglas主演的Lust for Life和1991年版的法国版Van Gogh，也许你会觉得这部影片显得冗长而温吞。不过，我就喜欢BBC这种细腻的调调，慢慢地平和叙述关于凡高短暂的一生，包括他的绘画生涯，他的精神世界，他与提奥的兄弟之情，与高更等人的友谊，当然还有被后人揣测无数的感情纠葛。
而且，本片的主演可是一个大帅哥啊，Linus Roache莱纳斯·罗彻。大家应该都看过他主演的The Wings of the Dove 鸽之翼吧。当然，在这部影片之中他的扮相是留着凌乱的胡子滴，但是并不影响大家的花痴...口水！！！

Iain Softley (Skeleton Key, Inkheart) will direct from Johnny Ferguson’s adaptation of the short story by Irish writer Flann O’Brien about a taxidermist (Morgan) who kills his cruel boss (Isaacs) and uses his skills to wear the dead man’s skin and live a double life.
