A police sting takes place in a haunted apartment building. The sting goes bad when a wicked female ghost crashes the party.

祥（王晶 饰）天赋异品，和他的二叔（林正英 饰）、三叔（吴孟达 饰）都是茅山赌术弟子，祥和三叔丈着有点小聪明开了一间赌博公司，赌徒有什么疑难问题都可以上来请教。香港女赌神高少少（吴君如 饰）被泰国赌王乃猜与其手下女巫合谋害死，化成冤魂。高少少的冤魂不堪枉死，前来找祥替她报仇，祥抵不住她的缠绕，答应替她报仇。高少少的妹妹高豆豆（邱淑贞 饰）也因心想为姐姐报仇而结识了祥，两人心生倾慕。
二叔可怜高少少惨死，也出山和祥、三叔一起挑战泰国赌王乃猜，茅山赌术和泰国巫术之战打响了。

香港半山的一幢七十年古老大屋，住著業主張小姐（丁珮）與姘夫炳少（陳百祥）之外，其他住客如的士輝（劉家輝）、口水驃（盧大偉）、大蓮（李殿朗）、坡叔（劉克宣）、PC強（詹森）及龍醫生（谷峰）等，來自江湖四海，各有背景，各有職業，居於一屋，爭執難免。地產商曾公子（曹查理）透過師爺（羅國維）收購大屋，炳少見錢開眼，於是一連串之逼遷與反逼遷的行動相繼展開，笑中有淚，淚中有笑，最後收購計劃終告失敗，全部住客同被政府徙置於新型屋村。

On a remote island off Hong Kong, its rich and happy inhabitants are celebrating an annual ritual by staging an operatic show. The island is not productive but its people are rich.
