在本片的故事中，四年一度的闰年到来，小精灵谷的仙子们每逢闰年会举办一场跨越季节的大竞赛，小精灵谷的仙子们使出浑身解数，为了争取最高的荣耀而一较高下！

动画特别集《迈克尔·杰克逊的万圣节》发布预告，10月27日开播，流行之王以特别方式回归。配音有《生活大爆炸》的两位——“谢耳朵”吉姆·帕森斯和“莱纳德老妈”克里斯汀·芭伦斯基，以及刘玉玲、艾伦·卡明、卢卡斯·提尔等。讲述两个年轻人在万圣节偶然遇见，来到神秘的“此地旅馆”，看旅馆名，就知道就很多MJ音乐要到来。
