In Orario, fearless adventurers band together in search of fame and fortune within the underground labyrinth known as the Dungeon. But Bell Cranel, novice adventurer, has bigger plans than riches and glory; he fights monsters in the hope of having a fateful encounter with a girl. When this happens, it doesn't go exactly as he planned. Thus begins the story of an unlikely pair, a boy and a goddess, both trying to prove themselves, both eager to reach their goals.

Mikiya Kokutou gives Shiki Ryougi a cat to watch, as he will be away for a little while. Though Shiki protests, he leaves the cat anyway, and Shiki is stuck trying to understand her new feline companion. But as luck would have it, the cat seems to have taken a liking to Mikiya and misses him. Later in another part of the city, Ririsu Miyazuki visits the place where her dear friend committed suicide. She intends to end her life as well, but she meets Fujino Asagami, a blind classmate with a traumatic past. Though the two girls don't have much in common, Asagami reminds Miyazuki of her lost friend and helps her understand her pain. Two months later, Mikiya elects to celebrate New Year's with Shiki instead of his family, which makes his sister Azaka very upset, leading to her spending the holiday with her school friends. As the snow begins to fall, Mikiya reflects on what he wishes for most of all: that Shiki's life be filled with happiness.

某天的大洗女子学园，鮟鱇组的5人为了送去学生会的文件，寻找农业科所属的学生——简。骑着不习惯的马，好不容易到达了农科的校舍，在那里遇到了她，不知拿着什么枪，处于临战状态。据她说，正在追捕“世纪的大恶棍”…!?

高中三年级的夏天过去了，同学们接二连三确定了所要报考的学校。兴趣多多的樱田麻音（仪武佑子 配音）至今没有决定未来的方向，继承父母在大崎下岛经营的旅馆也在她的考虑范畴之内，不过麻音的父亲却宣称不希望将旅馆交给女儿。父亲突如其来的宣言，让麻音困惑不已。竹原町筹划用竹灯布置出一条“憧憬之路”，泽渡枫（竹达彩奈 配音）原打算拍摄当天的盛况，可是父亲那台照相机突然出了毛病。日之丸照相馆的老板（中田让治 配音）承诺能尽快修好，只是女孩仍旧心神不宁。塙薰（阿澄佳奈 配音）看着这位迥异于寻常之时的朋友，不禁内心生气起来……

喜好摄影的内向女孩泽渡枫（竹达彩奈 配音），由于转学来到了去世的父亲朝思暮想的城市——广岛县竹原市。最初不可避免的短暂不适，很快为女孩之间真挚的友情一扫而空。她在那里重逢了青梅竹马的好友薰（阿澄佳奈 配音），并结识了冈崎乃理惠（井口裕香 配音）、樱田麻音（仪武佑子 配音）等新朋友。由此略显灰暗的校园生活变得斑斓多彩，枫脸上的笑容也逐渐多了起来。
快乐的时光转瞬即逝，不知不觉女孩们迎来了毕业的时刻。站在人生的十字路口，女孩们将作何选择？她们此时此刻又怀着怎样的心情？

本作品以《祝》为名，在剧情上并未直接承袭第一话内容，而是基于东方Project原作游戏《东方风神录》的剧情为原本，进行相应的二次创作，讲述供奉守矢神社的世代相传风祝秘法的家族——东风谷家族中发生的故事。

东映公布了#光之美少女# 系列第19作，标题为《Delicious Party♡光之美少女》。
