The Devil of Winterborne has only recently been exorcised by P.R.O.B.E. but when the body of it's last victim goes missing and a black magic grimoire goes missing from a local museum, Liz Shaw begins to wonder if the ghosts of the past have actually been laid to rest. As she revisits Winterborne School, Liz becomes convinced that the festering evil is once again attempting to exert it's influence. Liz is forced into an uneasy alliance with the now disgraced former headmaster of the school, Gavin Purcell as she must overcome her own emotions to fight the ancient evil that haunts Winterborne.

本集因以电视电影形式报艾美奖评选而被单独列出，改编自原著《米尔沃顿》。华生受朋友请求来到一个年轻人吸毒聚集地，没想到在这里居然遇到夏洛克。华生把夏洛克带回贝克街，惊讶的发现夏洛克有了女友，这位女友正是自己婚礼上的伴娘洁琳。但随后华生发现，夏洛克之所以和自己的伴娘约会是因为在查的案件。夏洛克假装要求婚，混进了讹诈专家马格努森的办 公室，华生也和夏洛克一起，然而就在夏洛克发现马格努森被人威胁的时候，威胁者转过头，这个人竟然是华生的新婚妻子玛丽……

Alone in the chapel of hope on Christmas Eve Reverend Bernice hates Christmas,since her mother was carried off by Papa Lazarou disguised as Santa Claus when she was a child. She has three visitors. The first is Charlie Hull,convinced from his recurring nightmare that his wife Stella is using a voodoo coven called the Solutions to stop him winning the line-dance contest. Then an old man who visited Herr Lipp and his wife in 1975 recounts the saga of Lipp's fascination with cute young choirboy Matthew and his belief that Lipp was a vampire. Finally Chinnery comes to unburden himself as to why he is such a bad vet. In Victorian times his great-great-grandfather,the finest vet in England,came to Royston Vasey but was tricked into touching the wrong monkey's testicle,as a result of which all succeeding vets in the family have been cursed. Bernice feels happier after consoling Chinnery but she is unaware that history is about to repeat itself.

Series 3 (2002)
The third and final series focused on a different character each week but with the overlaps creating a more complex layering of the plot, more akin to a one-off episode of a situation comedy (albeit with intertwined plots) than a traditional sketch show. The end of each episode features a white van swerving to avoid a pedestrian and crashing into a garden wall. Some residents escape unharmed, while others are not so lucky. A red plastic bag is seen being blown by the wind through the town in every episode, indicating that all the stories occur simultaneously. This is the only series that does not include a laughter track.

苦等近两年后，“神夏”迷终于迎来福利。12月3日，BBC一台证实，25日圣诞节当天，本尼迪克特·康伯巴奇（Benedict Cumberbatch）与马丁·弗里曼（Martin Freeman）主演的热播英剧《神探夏洛克》（Sherlock）将推出节日迷你特集《幸福回归》（Many Happy Returns），届时剧粉可以通过BBC的互动电视服务Red Button和网络收看，而美国播出方PBS电视台还没有任何该集在本国的上映消息。
《幸福回归》的剧情介绍说，“夏洛克离开已经两年了，但仍有人不确定他真的去世了。”谁是那个心存怀疑的人？也许是华生，他仍然不愿接受好友的悲剧结局，还在苦苦追寻夏洛克生还的线索。也许是麦克洛夫特，有着深厚政府背景的他，接受了弟弟的暗示。也许是“那个女人”艾琳·艾德勒，她不相信夏洛克这么容易被打败。不论这个人是谁，他猜的没错：夏洛克的确还活着。
照此看来，《幸福回归》将作为第三季《神探夏洛克》开播前的序曲，至于康伯巴奇和弗里曼是否会在剧中亮相，尚不得而知，希望他们至少会客串一下。《神探夏洛克》第三季将于1月1日在英国首播，在美国的开播日期为1月19日。

本·卫肖、拉塞尔·托维、艾伦·卡明等携手出演BBC Four开发重磅LGBT题材新剧《酷儿们》(Queers,，暂译)，该剧只有一季，共8集，每集都配有独白。剧集将由《神探夏洛克》编剧马克·加蒂斯执导，并正在英国制作中。由于该剧有BBC和老维克剧院共同参与。在电视播放前 ，全8集每集15分钟的独白都将在7月话剧舞台率先表演。独白将由加蒂斯在内的8位作者撰写，以展现过去100年中，英国历史里同志的生活和遭遇，展现历史。
