姐姐》是一部跟刑警的工作和生活毫不相关的记录片，却通过小女孩的倔强展现了一种儿童生活，影片粗剪版本名为〈成长的烦恼〉（1996年12.30日和12.31日连续播出）
中国广播电视出版社的〈影视纪录片创作〉一书以〈姐姐〉为例，讲述了纪录片拍摄前期准备题材时需要注意的事项。〈姐姐〉可以说是中国新记录片从选材到拍摄手法上的一次电视尝试，也是后来拍故事片的李玉的拍摄经验积累。
