Earth Corps, a team of scientists specializing in subterranean exploration, would prefer to simply go about their work. However, this changes when a horde of monsters from below called Inhumanoids, collaborated by the evil human traitor, Blackthorne Shore, begin to attack the surface world. The popular cartoon cat and mouse are thrown into a feature film. The story has the twosome trying to help an orphan girl who is being berated and exploited by a greedy guardian.

当年我们看到的版本是美版，也就是所谓的《战刀骑士》。其实《战刀骑士》的原型是日本的《星铳士ビスマルク》，于1984年在日本NTV电视台播放。美国于1987年引进了该作，英文名为《Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs》，对日版原作做了很大的改动。首先是人物，美国人将日版中的兰斯罗特改为了第一主人公和队长，英文名为战刀骑士（Saber Rider）；而日版原作的主人公辉进儿英文名改成了火球（Fireball）成为了队员；日版中的比尔英文名改为考尔特（Colt）；女主人公玛莉安英文名则变成了艾普莉尔（April），美版中她的情感是摇晃在战刀骑士与火球两个人中间的，而不像日版确立了她与辉进儿的关系。主机体俾斯麦英文名变成了兰姆罗德（Ramrod）。原来日版中的敌方外星人佩里奥斯，在美版中变成了地球人的叛徒，英文名字成了杰西·布鲁（Jesse Blue）。

正义战士与其他机甲类片最大的区别是:他变身后不是把整个盔甲覆盖全身[他们身上就是盔甲],而是Crystal Kane从宇宙战把一些不同机件传下去从而组成不同的型态。

Marlon Riggs' essay film TONGUES UNTIED gives voice to communities of black gay men, presenting their cultures and perspectives on the world as they confront racism, homophobia and marginalization. It broke new artistic ground by mixing poetry (by Essex Hemphill and other artists), music, performance and Riggs' autobiographical revelations. The film was embraced by black gay audiences for its authentic representation of style, and culture, as well its fierce response to oppression. It opened up opportunities for dialogue among and across communities. TONGUES UNTIED has been lauded by critics for its vision and its bold aesthetic advances, and vilified by anti-gay forces who used it to condemn government funding of the arts. It was even denounced from the floor of Congress. "Black men loving Black men is the revolutionary act" is the rallying cry at the film's end and after more than twenty years, TONGUES UNTIED remains a celebrated vehicle for eloquent self-expression and liberation.

本片由美国飞美逊公司（Filmation Associates）于1983~1985年推出，大获成功后，该公司忙不迭地推出了剧情类似的“兄妹篇”《非凡的公主希瑞》（在我国，由于引进的原因，希瑞先于希曼被人熟知），同样取得巨大成功。
每集的开场白如下：“我是一个宇宙巨人，名叫亚当，是艾特尼亚王国的王子。我保守着辉克堡的秘密。这，是太空虎，我忠实的好朋友。我可以为自己召来神秘的魔力，只要念一声咒语：‘辉克显灵’……希曼来啦……这时候太空虎将变成我的坐骑，我就成了希曼，宇宙中最强有力的人。只有其他三个人知道这个秘密：我的朋友鹦鹉仙子，邓肯武士和小不点奥克，他们将帮助我进行保护辉克堡的战斗。”——除了亚当王子之外，该片里的其它角色，鹦鹉仙子、邓肯武士、奥克以及骷髅王等等，也同样让人刻骨铭心。
